It's useful 'cause of how much easier and better-documented Gen 3 hacking is - unfortunately, the creator has asked that no full hacks be based on it yet, as it's in early beta, and he's also put the project on hiatus due to personal issues. That said, things like having Gen 5 items/abilities/moves and, mainly, the Phys/Spec split would be incredible to have even sans the extra Pokemon (which I personally wasn't planning on using anyway due to their incompleteness). Does anyone know of any similar bases that do one or more of those things (phys/spec split, new items, new abilities, etc)? Hey man I just figured out how to get this patch to work now! It is really awesome, I'm definitely gonna play around with it.

To get it to work this is what you have to do: * NOTE: this patch can only be applied to a clean rom * Create a copy folder for Pokemon Game Editor (PGE). Download the program if you don't have it already.

Mr mister welcome to the real world rarest. * When you downloaded the patch it came with a file called 'rom' * Take the rom file and copy and paste it into PGE's ini file. * Overwrite the other rom file. * open up PGE and you can now edit everything with all the new moves available!

I came across a patch for Fire Red roms that includes data for all 649 Pokemon, as well as 4th and 5th gen moves. The patch only includes the data. It's meant as a base for rom hacks. I then got in touch with the developer of the Gen 2/3 randomizer to see if he could edit it to include the 4th and 5th gen Pokemon. He did, and now we have a working randomizer for all 649 Pokemon.
