Hi, I just got this in the mail. Paid $250 for a Tial 38 MV-S wastegate and got this Taiwan piece of garbage instead. Sellers LINK, his ebay account is vspeedrace The box suppose to come printed with this box label, instead is a cheap ink imitation. Serial numbers are the same when are fake, SN03091178 is the usual part number in all fakes. NO quality What the hell?:?????

Suppose to be sealed valve, no air, water, or light should leak when valve is closed, Fakes leak without been installed. Tial Original are Stainless Steel Alloy, look at this piece of crap material Is that rust??????

This wastegates are made of puzzle pieces?? Wow - that IS junk. It's amazing at what great lengths are gone to to make a copy of a ~300 part. If I'm going through THAT much trouble.I'm copying Benjamins.not wastegates:) The quality of Tial pieces is way up there; I also enjoy that they are some of the few components on my car that are made in the U.S.A. I bet these knock-off's completely burn their balls, especially since it's a blatant rip-off, and that the quality is so sub-standard. They make fantastic stuff, and it sucks to see it knocked off like that.

At least the information to ID a fake is readily available. Imagine, if it wasn't, you'd run that wastegate and think poorly of an otherwise standup company. Just so you know, paypal refund policy is a joke.

Just write the complaint out very clearly as to what's wrong with it, and how it is not even the actual Tial part, but a cheap Chinese clone. If the guy does not respond, they will refund and likely close his acct.

Just be VERY logical about how you go through the process. Use only the eBay messaging system for communication, as they can track that for reference.

The knock offs use cast iron guides, smaller stems, do not come with the seal, or air fittings. You can't judge a bitmap quality pic to another bitmap. I would not stick my neck out for fakes. It's the same as RPI getting blank willwood calipers and having them engraved with their logo. I came across the blank units by shear luck and have not had any problems with them EXCEPT for consumers who say they are the knockoffs. Understood and were happy with the blanks. I can't stress enough that he only difference is that they are blank. The TIAL units with their logo are over $50 more wholesale and there is more time put into the finish. You can get the TIAL's anodized different colours and the ones with logo's do have a nicer finish on the base. But I assure you the ones I sold are TIAL and the internals are the same.

There is a price difference between the blanks and logo. That difference is from finish, and logo. Were hppy with the price break and were even happier with the blank unit. I'm sorry for the scare and for any confusion.

Please tell me where you're getting this info from? Tell me something, if you were a company offering quality products to the public, with strict quality control (gasket excluded ), would you just give out unfinished, raw blanks that look just like these units and would want them distributed?
