I inherited a lyle 6 string guitar from my mother, who bought it second hand in Oregon in the 70s. Model number is 355, and serial number is T4063. I took it into the local guitar refurbisher (I live in New Zealand) who had never heard of Lyle, but said it's in great condition and appears to be very well made. I suspect from my quick Google search on lyle guitars that not many of these would be all the way down here in New Zealand and not much info seems to be available on the Internet from my attempts to learn more. I'd love some more information about the guitar I have!

I just got this old beat up Lyle guitar; and it's previous owner said he found it in a car he bought a while back. The first thing I noticed is the guitar is in bad shape, it has scratches and chips and rust, it needs to be restored asap. So in the meantime I'm trying to figure out the age of it and.

I just got this old beat up Lyle guitar; and it's previous owner said he found it in a car he bought a while back. The first thing I noticed is the guitar is in bad shape, it has scratches and chips and rust, it needs to be restored asap. So in the meantime I'm trying to figure out the age of it and anything else I can find; so I looked up ways to tell how old it is. However I only found 2 sets up numbers, one set is on the back of the head stock: 656 5233 and the second set of numbers is on the back: 45 824 I'm not really sure what to make of the numbers. Can somebody tell me if these numbers are the model, or maybe the date is was made? Other details: Made in Japan 22 frets dark brown wood (not sure exactly what its made of) 2 pickups no name on the pickups classical style head stock not acoustic has 4 nobs (two have the letter V or A without the line through it; and the other 2 nobs have the letter T) P.S.

Sorry I dont have a camera to take pictures with:/. Best Answer: Lyle was one of 100 names of inexpensive Japanese guitars made in the 60s and 70s in the explosion of rock and roll. They were made in the same factory that produced Aria guitars, by the Matsumoku company. Beyond that the history is pretty sketchy. I've seen a variety of Lyle guitars - both semi-hollow body and solid-body. Some were pretty crazy looking and frankly not very playable.

Now my speakers do not work. Trouble shoot Audio Problems. What is missig missing, sound driver, which one? Sony vaio laptops drivers download.

Others are actually pretty good instruments, so without a picture or two it's hard to discern much about yours. If you're thinking about keeping it as a collectible - DO NOT refinish it or do anything to alter it that can't be reversed.
