Now, since im a lazy mofo, im not going to play through the game to get to the disk change point, but you can start a new game and play all the way through the entire game with the merge disk, never having to change. 2 things to note: 1) the merge disk is VERY large. It's right there on the edge where it fits or doesnt fit a CD-R.

IMGburn does allow it to be burned to a CD without complaining about the size, but that does not mean it's fully up to go. Ps1 has a limitation in place which denies it from seeking to the last 30 MB of so of a normal disk. It can read it, but not seek to it.
