Anyways, if the file is playable in your media player (aka not corrupted) then you can just go ahead and open up good ol' Windows Movie Maker and drag in your AVI file. Without making any changes to it simply publish it, and you will have a brand new working WMV file that you can import into sony vegas with about the same quality.
