So I tried the terminal command suggested by Jeff on February 18 2017: cd /Applications/Assassin ’s Creed Brotherhood.app/Contents/MacOS pressed return. Then typed: chmod +x * and pressed return again. Not sure what this did but the game worked perfectly after that. No Error messages at all. I did get a warning from little snitch that the “scimitar_sf” file was trying to call “ubisoft.com” so I denied that permanently. So I guess you should use a firewall with this program.

I was not expecting sound since everyone was complaining that there was none, but the sound worked perfectly. Not sure how that happened. I hope this helps all of you. BTW, thanks Jeff for your info. At the very least you can stop hasseling MacGyver about getting the sound to work for this game. I got it working and you should be able to as well.
