On Saturday, September 18, 2010 the Conneaut Valley Lions Club and the Conneaut Lake Lions Club will be sponsoring a wellness program at the Conneaut Lake Fire Department. AMBA Blood Screening, as well as Glaucoma Screening and Blood Pressure Testing will be offered for the $35 AMBA Blood Screening fee plus a $5 donation at the door to the Lions.

Several optional tests are available for an additional fee with a separate script from a Physician. This is a unique opportunity to have your blood and eye health checked for a very low fee. Even if you have insurance, the cost of this screening is much lower than most deductibles. If you don't have insurance, these tests would normally cost much more. These appointments will be scheduled between 6:30 AM and 10:30 AM on September 18. Please have your Physician's name and address available when you call for your appointment. Bootcamp 2.0 drivers. Got Boot Camp 2.0 to create the partition, got Windows XP (sp3) installed, now just need the drivers. I know I need the 2.1 drivers but when I tried to run the file I downloaded off the Apple page ( Boot Camp - Windows XP Drivers Update 2.1 ) it told me the files were just an update and, essentially, that I needed 2.0 first. Boot Camp is a Mac OS X utility that lets you run Windows on your Mac without relying on virtual machines or crippled emulators. Don't for get to burn the Mac drivers CD then run it to install.

The tests require a fast of 12 hours, so the Lions also cook and serve breakfast for folks to enjoy after the tests. The breakfast features pancakes, eggs and sausage and is available for an additional cost. The breakfast is open to the public, and one does not have to take the tests in order to purchase breakfast. Proceeds from the breakfast are used to support the many projects of the Canton Lions Club, and this public support allows the Lions to maintain these important community programs.
